Jaylon Johnson Discusses First Day Back in Pads

After Tuesdays training camp practice, Jaylon Johnson met with the media and highlighted the excitement that comes with the first padded practice of the year. He said "the front seven really brought the energy" and joked that the secondary "had been physical without pads." The media asked Jaylon if he ever wanted to see some explosion on the offense "for the sake of the ball club," in response Jaylon gave a smile and said "you know the answer to that." Jaylon elaborated stating that "he's trying to win every rep" and feels "the offense needs that" to get better. That level of competitiveness is representative of the secondaries stance that they "all have something to prove" following last years struggles.
